Maintaining Your Artistry while BLACK

This lecture came out of a need to educate young artists entering “show business.” Institutionalized programs do not cater information to students of color about how to deal with the business side of industry – until now. In this lecture, we will recap and examine those events vis-a-vis the entertainment industry, navigate the business of being professional actor in this social climate and bring attention to available resources to empower the artist’s journey.
MYAwB is geared towards students about to graduate from institutional programs and/or engage in the business as professional actors/artists.
